The Buffalo National River
Experience canoeing, fishing, accessible the early spring floating on the upper river and summer floating on the middle river. It's just 60 miles to Cotter for trout fishing in the White River as well, local shuttle service and canoe rental available.
Hiking Trails
Our area has more hiking trails than any other section of the river and there are additional trails in the National Forest. See the most photographed rock in Arkansas, Hawksbill Craig: the awesome Pedestal Rocks, rock climber's favorite Sam's Throne; beautiful Lost Valley and more.
Eureka Springs, AR
Looking for crafts, shows, and unique shops? A day trip to Eureka Springs, a Victorian spa city, can include attractions like The Great Passion Play and the narrow gauge railroad. It's just a pleasant hour's drive, tour the famous Crescent Hotel, and the church entered through the dome, enjoy fine dinning and see the turn of the century homes and buildings
Jasper, AR

Wildlife Watching
Elk Capitol of Arkansas by proclamation of the governor, and you can enjoy seeing the herd at many locations along the Buffalo River. We'll help you select a spot for elk viewing. We also have a wonderful variety of other wildlife. Exploring Newton County is an adventure.
Lakes
Close enough to Bull Shoals Lake for an easy day trip to enjoy boating and fishing there.
